This is a Tibetan singing bowl. The Tibetans regard these bowls as old friends; each bowl has unique qualities we can work to bring out the best in each bowl.
Singing bowls are traditionally constructed of seven metals: Gold, silver, mercury, copper, iron, tin and lead, corresponding to the seven planets known at the time - Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, respectively. The exact composition of each bowl is a closely guarded secret by the maker.
